My favorite wonder kid, John McCauley, returns with new album served up with that same beautiful, weather-beaten wear.

Now how this gentle ben with a vicious croon continues to convey old man aches inside a young mans heart is certainly beyond me.?  when i was McCauley’s 23 i had the sensibility of a sixteen year old with all the mindless impurities of a sixth grader. hell at 23 i’d been lucky to sign just my name without it reeking of a sickening, perverse falsehood.

so here’s to you deer tick…may u continue to suck the blood of those that feed yer darling stories and warp-speed maturation.
